6:40 AM hightide — 2-3' shortboard waves breaking nearshore with light NE wind at 5
6:40 AM hightide check at 32nd Street and the swell is hanging in there. It's 2-3 feet with light northeast wind at 5 mph, just enough to put a little texture on it without wrecking anything. Some really good 2-3 foot shortboard waves breaking close to shore, lined up and peeling with enough face to actually do something with. Looks fun. Get out there before work. Athena led the way down the path under a sunrise that was worth the early alarm, and the sun came up out of the water like a fried egg. Monday morning and there are waves, so no excuses.
