Flat & Small at Lowtide — Trace Swell Nearshore
Back to earth this morning after the holiday, folks. We're basically flat out there at lowtide with just a trace of swell breaking nearshore — enough to make some noise on the sandbar but not much to write home about. SSW winds are up around 10 mph adding a little texture to the surface, so it's not the glassy dawn we had yesterday. A freighter's parked out on the horizon and the sea oats are doing their thing in the morning light. Not a surf day unless you're truly desperate, but always a good day for a beach walk. Athena's out here supervising from the boardwalk as usual. Check back as the tide fills in — but keep expectations low. Enjoy the Sunday!
