1' and glassy — light SW offshore grooming the occasional longboard nugget at mid-low outgoing
7 AM check at Picnic Tables, South Cocoa Beach. It's small — call it a foot with an occasional set that'll let the log run a little. But the light SW is blowing offshore and feathering those nearshore peelers into clean, glassy little walls, so what's out there is worth a few cruisey turns if you're on the right board. Mid-to-low tide, outgoing. Athena worked the beach this morning past the turtle nest markers — nesting season's in full swing, so mind the roped-off crawls. Surf fisherman set up down the line and the fish are biting, so the longboarders and the anglers can share the lineup in peace. Summer doldrums special: dust off the log, lower your expectations, and have fun out there.
