ESE Wind Chops It Up

Low tide at 8 AM and turning to incoming. A steady 17 mph ESE wind has the whole ocean whitecapped and lumpy, with 2-3' sloppy waves stacking up in a wide band of whitewater. There's size out there but no shape. Big cumulus towers are building offshore under a peach-colored sky, and it looks like more rain on the way today. Athena gave it a good look from the dune path and made the call: walk day, not surf day.
