Clean Little Peelers — Grom Day at the Tables

6:30 low tide check at the Picnic Tables. Light SSE wind at 5-7 mph holding it together, with knee-high sets breaking nearshore — about a foot and crumbling clean right on the inside. Nothing to write home about for the shortboard crew, but this is exactly the kind of forgiving, gentle stuff you want for putting a beginner on a board. Good day to teach a grom. Fresh turtle crawl on the sand this morning too — nesting season is in full swing, so watch your step in the dune line and give the marked nests a wide berth. Athena approved.
