Flat and Shorebreaky — Turtle Highway Out There

Midtide check at the Picnic Tables and it's about as small as it gets — 0-1' and breaking right on the sand. Glassy and pretty to look at with the morning sun lighting up the water, but unsurfable. Save the wax. The real show this morning was up on the beach: fresh turtle tracks everywhere, big crawls cut into the sand from last night's nesting. We're deep into nesting season now, so give the marked nests a wide berth. Athena did her usual patrol of the wrack line and approved. Going to be a hot one today, so if you're heading down, early or late is the move.
